Gorgeous March Day

Today was kindergarten registration for Maddie (*sniff*) and since it was so nice
out we decided to walk to her new school to time the walk…
it took us half an hour with the girls walking about a 1/3 of the way.

It was totally doable and I am so excited that we are within walking distance.
It was actually one of the main reasons we decided to send her to the
neighborhood school vs the fancy charter school that she got into.

That plus, when we went to the kindergarten open house I was so impressed by the
passion the 3 kindergarten teachers displayed and the dedication you could feel from principle.
They may not be the best "test score-rated" school in Loveland, but I have a feeling
they are still one of the best.

I'm very excited, and a little sad, to send Maddie off next fall!  After we walked back home
we stopped at the neighborhood park to play for an hour.  It's so funny to see
all the kids pour out of their homes when it's nice out!  In the winter time the neighborhood
always feels so barren, but then the weather jumps up to 60 and an amazing amount
of children show up.  Maddie and Ella made a couple new friends that I hope we
continue to see around.

Snippets of our Days

I don't have a ton to say.
It's been a cold snowy couple of weeks which always leaves me feeling a bit…blah.
But I've been trying to counter the blah with a bit of everyday bliss, which for me is creating art,
be it with my camera, watercoloring (which I've recently taken up…super fun), or
just doing crafts with the girls. .

Luckily these two little sidekicks of mine are pretty flexible and
love to help me do whatever it is that moves me that day.  Lately we've
been practicing in my little studio space a lot.  Which has been super fun and
totally different than what I usually do, but it's been a good way to
entertain ourselves when it's too cold to leave the house.

Even Maddie has been getting into it, sometimes I'll find her in there directing
Ella in their own little "photoshoot".  Super cute
Here is a video that Maddie took with her little vtech camera. :-)

Ella Bea

What do you do on a cold snowy day when your mom is a photographer?
You play dress up with her newborn props and have a photoshoot!

Lol, I've been dying to play in my studio with a baby,
so I bribed my "baby" to model for me.
She thought it was pretty funny, and kept giggling.

I pretty much love them!!
