Friday Morning

Mike had friday off this week so after the girls woke up,
and were dressed and fed, we decided to head up the road to Estes Park.

We didn't make it very far before Mike decided to pull over to fish,
but it was fun to explore a new area (new for me).
Maddie and I climbed some boulders and found some sand to play in.
Ella took a nap in her carseat, and then woke up "oohing" and "awing" at the river.
It was really pretty, and it was fun to get outside in nature!!!

Rollin'

I remember being little, finding a hill (the steeper the better),
laying down on the grass, staring briefly into the deep sky
and holding my breath until it was forced out of me
as my small body rolled over and over
on itself as I made my way down the hill via gravity.

Gaining speed with each turn, until I stopped at the bottom…
usually a little bruised and with lots of grass in my hair,
 but ecstatic and happy.
 Simple joys of childhood.

I've thought about trying it as an adult…
I'm sure it would be thrilling.

I'm much too practical though,
as an adult I am fully aware that at some point
there have been dogs in our yard
and I'm fairly certain I would roll into an unpleasant surprise. ;-)

May in a Day (In June…with a couple days of April, because that's how I roll)

Hello Hello!  It's been a while.  :-)
I do not of course have a good excuse other than "It's SUMMER!"
We've been busy little bees enjoying our first "real" Colorado summer.
There have been parks and playdates, stroller strides (a mama/baby/stroller exercise class that I joined), splash pads, museums, outdoor magic shows and lots more!
It's been a fun time, but unfortunately there have been many nights that the girls were sound asleep before I realized that I didn't even pick up my camera that day.  So…I don't really have a complete 365, but I've been doing better than average I suppose so that's something.  Plus, can you really blame me for wanting to live in the moment with these two?
119/365 "Last Night"
This was our last night in Key West…exhausted, but happy!
120/365 "Family Photo"
Photo credit to Christine, this picture is not "technically" a 365 picture since I didn't take it,  and it's not in order, BUT I did add it to my project and it's the only family photo we got while in Florida…
Plus it's my blog and 365 project and I can do what I want! ;-)
