Considering how closely we live to this lake, we certainly don't take advantage of it!
We had to do a favor for a friend today and since we were out and about I thought it would be fun to stop by Boyd Lake and play around with my new camera and lens.
Plus the girls had been begging all day for an adventure and playing at the "beach" and playground was just what they needed.
It was amazing how quiet the lake was. It really clears out after summer is over,
and we pretty much had the whole park to ourselves.
I think I saw maybe four people?
Including a park ranger who drove by reeeeeeaaaallly slowing while staring at us.
Apparently we passed the sketch ball test because he kept driving.
In other news, I moved Ella into Maddie's room today and so far it's a success.
Nap was a little touch and go for an hour,
but eventually they BOTH feel asleep which was amazing in itself.
Bedtime was successful in that there was no crying. They feel asleep quickly and although I have heard Ella twice she quickly comforted herself and fell back asleep.
I hope this works out, I think it's such a great way for siblings to bond with each other.
I hope there will be lots of late night whispering and secret telling. :-)
