Road Trip to Yuma

We drove to Yuma Arizona for Christmas this year.  It
was a 16 hour drive that we stretched out to 20 hours by taking the "Fishing Route".

We broke the trip up into three days and Mike was able to fish in Pueblo Colorado and
at the Navajo Dam in New Mexico.

The girls and I got to hang out and swim in hotel pools and walk around and explore.

We built fairy houses, took walks, took LOTs of pictures, had dance parties in hotel rooms,
and enjoyed freedom from knowing what the day had in store for us.

It was a lovely and relaxing way to start off our vacation.

Driving toward the Sand Dunes in Colorado…
it was closed for the season, but I plan on coming back next summer!

I snatched a picture of this cool abandoned house as we drove by it…
one of the perks of taking the "scenic" route.   ;-)
